I write this review in English since I know a lot of people working in the international organisations goes here. That is a big mistake. The entrance looks fancy and it is clean but that is. Either you have the private insurance and they will try to do get you to do as many examinations and possible operations as possible, or you don't and then they basically want you to leave immediately. Private hospital at its worst.
Universitätsspital Basel (University Hospital of Basel, Switzerland), Spitalstrasse 21, Basel, Switzerland: I am a Spine surgeon from India. I was here for a Fellowship in Spine Surgery. This hospital has 2 world-class spine surgeons Prof. Dr. Stefan Schären & Prof. Dr. Bernhard Jeanneret. Patients should be assured to get the best treatment possible in this field. I was able to observe & learn several brilliant techniques in spine surgery from Prof. Dr. Stefan Schären who is an exceptional spine surgeon. I highly recommend his services.
The immunology of the HUG is horrible. I was outright ridiculed, told incorrect things and not helped in any way. Meanwhile, my immunological issue has been diagnosed by others. (Btw, I feel sorry for the doctors working in the atmosphere of the immunology...)
Reply to the suggestion of the HUG that I should seek mediation:
So many people complain about the leading doctor whom I met, that mediation for an individual case is not the right measure here. The HUG is in charge: organisational change is needed.
